Deep through a billion eons
Your reeling consciousness spun
A lone being on the red planet
Fourth from the dying sun
Wandering in self imposed exile
A million galaxies far from home
A single, solitary being
Silently riding the crest of the swirling winds
A man cosmically aware
Opening doors of time and space
You feel no pain
Only the strangely pleasant indifference
You tread the long dead surface
And watch the shifting pink sand
Out into the darkness you spin
As you probe in star studded blackness
Searching for what lies beyond the farthest star
What lies beyond the brink of time itself
I strut the milky way
Dropping stars behind as I step
I call out to the cosmos
To pick up on my words
And turn them into stardust
So they could reach you every night
Endless cascades of washing pain.
Don’t you ever feel the same way?
Broken down by the small grinders of our world
Four sides that surround us
Crushing and silencing us
I wanna be more, I wanna be on the outside with you
Meet me on the edge of dreams
When the comets collide
Sending ripples in space
Melting in a spinning flood
Swirling down to the shore
Of our own cosmic sea
We’ll taste the froth
Of interconnected singularity
In quantum spacetime infinity
We’ll bounce off together
Like the original photons
Released at first light
Our own big bang
Illuminating the universe
with a new beginning
